I founded Esteem Systems in 1985 which I grew to a £30m IT infrastructure & Managed Services business. I sold Esteem to a BI/MBO team backed by Private Equity. Subsequently, I have worked as a serial Non-Executive Director/Chairman for a number of businesses, four of which I helped exit. I have served on 10 boards and have seen most business problems and challenges in my 30+ years as a business leader. I am now focussing most of my efforts (in semi-retirement) on Pabasso.com a Peer Advisory Board membership business. I am also a Non-Executive Director of NYnet (Broadband) and NED Ampleforth Abbey Trading (the trading arm of Ampleforth Abbey Trust) and Senior Advisor to Boxphish (Cyber Security training). I am a former member of the CBI Council for Yorkshire & the Humber, a former Town Councillor and a former Governor of two of the region’s leading independent schools. Aside from business I am married with a family and enjoy Fly Fishing, Shooting, Tennis, Reading, Travelling, and watching most mainstream sports.
